Doc Roberts

Doc Roberts was first bitten by the "radio bug" in high school when he had his first radio show on a "pirate" station in a friends house in northern New Jersey with his friend Floyd "Uncle Floyd" Vivino. Floyd hit the stage and tv, Doc hit the airwaves until a stint in the U.S. Army where he served his country in Viet  Nam. Upon his return to the U.S. he returned to NBC at 30 Rock. Doc also worked at WKER in Prompton Lakes, NJ and in the early 70's WWDJ where he brought the Osmond Brothers to Madison
Square Garden in front of over 21,000 fans. Working in FL he was at WFTP in Fort Pierce, playing "traditional country".

Then moving back north to WARM, yes the Mighty five ninty doing overnights and producing the Harry West Show. Harry still uses a loud and long belch Doc put together for him. While working at WARM Doc did afternoons on WEMR in Tunkahannock, leaving WARM when he became Program Director and settling in on Morning Drive, Till offered the morning drive on Solid Gold 94, formerly WLSP where Doc also had a show. Yes, he too was on 95.3 DNH for a while and WWCC. After leaving radio for a few years he returned to  morning drive here on Classic Hits 105.3 and mid day on our country station Thunder 102. Doc loves to make people laugh and can use many of his various voices, dialects and impersonations to help do that. Doc has had the privilege to meet and interview such legends as Johnny and June Cash, Ronnie Milsap, Marie Osmond, Mark Miller of Sawyer Brown, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Adrian Cronauer (Good Morning VietNam), Ronnie McDowell, Charlie Daniels, Bobbie Vinton, the Temptations, Loretta Lynn, Steve Earle, Eddie Rabbit, Lorieanne Crook and Charlie Chase, Chuck McCann, Zacherly, the Forrester Sisters, Oak Ridge Boys, K.T. Oslin, Eddie Raven, Ray Benson from Asleep at the Wheel, Lane Brody and Dick Clark, Just to name a few. Doc grew up with WABC and the one and only  Dan Ingram in the afternoon. He says he would love to just talk to Dan one of these days "he's the master". Doc says we have lost the "theater of the mind" radio used to be. Doc Roberts... a little naughty, but nice. Especially when he and Tim get together.
